Job Summary:
LaQuinta Inn & Suites is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team. The ideal candidate will ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met, manage daily operations, and uphold excellent guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of all housekeeping staff, including room attendants and laundry personnel.
- Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Create daily work schedules and assign tasks based on occupancy and staffing levels.
- Train, coach, and support housekeeping staff, ensuring adherence to safety and hotel policies.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and linen; place orders as needed.
- Report maintenance issues to the appropriate department promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Assist in cleaning rooms or public spaces during peak times or staffing shortages.
- Maintain open communication with management regarding team performance and guest feedback.
Qualifications:
- Prior housekeeping experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- High attention to detail and guest service oriented.
- Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish preferred).
