Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Maintenance person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, along with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces in assigned areas.
• Conduct residential painting and basic electrical repairs as needed to maintain facility aesthetics and functionality.
• Assist in facilities maintenance by identifying and addressing minor repairs or maintenance issues.
• Utilize schematics to understand building layouts and ensure proper cleaning procedures are followed.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Demonstrate leadership skills by fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork among staff.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules and completed tasks.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Previous experience in janitorial services or facilities maintenance is preferred.
• Knowledge of residential painting techniques and basic electrical and plumbing systems is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the workplace.

Pay: $13.50 - $14.00 per hour
