What are the responsibilities and job description for the Exhibit Hall Assistant position at Laramie County Government?
Under direct supervision of the Fair Manager & Exhibit Hall Manager, this position assists the Fair Manager & Exhibit Hall Manager in the operation of the exhibit hall.(Essential function, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics. - Assist Exhibit Hall Manager during Laramie County Fair with opening and closing of Exhibit Hall
- Assist the Exhibit Hall Manager in preparing the hall for viewing daily prior to opening to the general public
- Assist with Superintendent’s for all Open Class Department duties
- Assist with securing and assigning workshops for Open Class Departments and seeing proper recognition is given
- Assist in training of Open Class Superintendents (A judge’s manual will be used for the training)
- Assist with set up of Information Booth and coordination prior to each year’s fair
- Assist with critique meeting prior to December 1st of current year to ensure that all changes are made to Fair Book for Open Class prior to January 1st for the upcoming year
- Assist with other job related duties that may be assigned by Laramie County Events Department, Fair Manager, and Office Staff
- Other duties as assigned
- Knowledge of all Laramie County Fair/County policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of the fair entry process
- Skilled in providing assistance in managing and organizing programs and events for the Laramie County Fair exhibit hall.
- Skilled in effectively working with others toward the mission of the Laramie County Fair.
- Skill in effectively interacting with the general public and other relevant parties.
- Skill in effectively communicating verbally and in writing.
