Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Public Relations and Development Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist our Public Relations and Development Director to provide the necessary resources which enable LARC to offer programs and services that assist individuals with developmental disabilities achieve personal goals. You will also coordinate and complete routine tasks and fundraising efforts.
Responsibilities
- Enter all donor information and donation transactions into the computer.
- Type and mail all acknowledgements. This includes all special event, membership, annual fund campaign, memorials and general contributions.
- Run weekly reports to reconcile deposits.
- Coordinate bulk mailings of quarterly newsletters, Ad Book solicitation letters, Appreciation Dinner Invitations and Annual Fund solicitation letters.
- Print out labels and merge letters for other mailings.
- Recruit volunteers and utilize clients to stuff, seal and stamp mailings.
- Assist the PR Director with various aspects of all the special events and community involvement projects.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
- Experience working on fundraising events
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to engage in public speaking when required.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
