As a Group Home Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of a residential facility catering to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your role involves supervising a team of caregivers, ensuring quality care, maintaining a supportive environment, and adhering to regulatory standards. Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Management:

• Supervise and lead a team of caregivers and support staff.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to employees for optimal resident care.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and facilitate professional development.

Resident Care and Support:

• Oversee the implementation of individualized care plans for residents.
• Monitor residents' progress and well-being, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers, therapists, and families to optimize care.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports as required by regulatory bodies.

Administrative Duties:

• Manage budgeting, expenses, and financial records effectively.
• Coordinate with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers as necessary.
• Handle administrative tasks related to staffing, scheduling, and facility maintenance.
• Communication and Advocacy
• Act as an advocate for residents, promoting their rights, dignity, and individuality.
• Foster positive relationships with families, guardians, and community resources.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, addressing concerns and ensuring transparency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Healthcare Management, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a healthcare or disability services setting.
• Understanding of intellectual and developmental disabilities and best practices in care.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to navigate and comply with regulatory requirements and standards.
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities.

Physical Demands: Your hands-on involvement is crucial, and your adaptable nature ensures you're equipped to address the distinct needs of each resident. The role may require sitting, standing, walking, and various movements like kneeling, stooping, and bending. You must be able to lift assist clients with transferring, toileting, personal hygiene clients without assistance. Pay: $31,000.00 - $41,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Managerial healthcare: 3 years (Required)
• Direct Support Worker: 5 years (Required)
