Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in legal research and drafting, with a focus on estate planning, probate, and civil litigation. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis to support case preparation and strategy.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct initial consultations and identify issues that need solved for the client.
- Review and analyze case files to identify key issues and develop effective legal strategies.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases to gather information and provide updates.
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations as necessary to advocate for clients’ interests.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and provide legal administrative support as needed.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in Ohio.
- Strong skills in legal research and writing, with proficiency in Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis, and/or Decisis
- Knowledge of estate planning is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all legal matters.
