Certification and Licensure
The ideal candidate is a registered technologist certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and licensed as a general radiographer in the state.
Job Details
- Type: Travel CT Tech
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 7pm-7am
Responsibilities
The CT Technologist performs various diagnostic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. This includes:
- Basic radiographic procedures
- Fluoroscopy
- Portable radiographic procedures
- C-arm procedures
- OR imaging services
The successful candidate demonstrates proficiency in routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures, including:
- CT of head/brain
- Neck
- Thorax
- Spine
- Abdomen/pelvis
- Extremities
- Biopsy/drainage procedures
In addition, the CT Technologist should have knowledge of:
- Processing of CT systems
- Surgical/sterile procedures
- Studies with or without contrast media
- Cross-sectional anatomy
Requirements
- ARRT certification
- MRT/TMB licensure
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years' experience in CT technology
