We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to join our team. The Home Health Aide will be responsible for providing non-medical support to clients in their homes, helping them live independently and comfortably. The ideal candidate should possess a caring nature, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Help clients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Assist with meal planning and preparation, ensuring proper nutrition and dietary needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging in conversation and activities to reduce loneliness.
- Monitor clients' health by observing their condition and reporting any changes to the supervisor or healthcare provider.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying up.
- Support clients with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided, including daily activity logs and any changes in condition.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients and report any safety hazards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure proper care coordination.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or equivalent experience preferred.
- Previous experience in home health care or a related field is a plus.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare practices.
- Ability to lift and assist clients with mobility needs.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if applicable).
Working Conditions:
- This position involves traveling to clients' homes within the assigned area.
- Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
- Physical requirements include bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
