What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Administrator position at Large Commercial Electrical Contractor?
We are a large electrical contractor seeking a full-time Payroll Data Administrator whose primary responsibility is overseeing the payroll process for our employees. This position supports the entire organization, interacting regularly with project managers as well as all employees of the organization. In addition to superb attention to detail and accuracy, excellent interpersonal and communication skills are critical to the success of this role.
Responsibilities:
Payroll Duties:
· Verify and input payroll data, including new hires, terminations, deductions, and adjustments including benefits, garnishments, and child support.
· Input timesheets, process, and review weekly payroll in QuickBooks accurately and on time.
· Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
· Pay Weekly payroll tax liabilities electronically through QuickBooks.
· Prepare and pay quarterly payroll tax reports (WR-30, NJ927, 941)
· File Year End W2 and 1099 reconciliation and submissions.
· Prepare Certified payroll reports for each qualified job.
HR Duties:
· Respond to routine HR questions including, but not limited to benefits, payroll, and vacation.
· Administer various employee benefits programs.
· On boarding of all new employees
Qualifications:
· At least 3–6 years of payroll processing experience and accounting knowledge.
· QuickBooks experience a must
· Technologically savvy and familiar with running in-house computerized accounting and payroll software applications, specifically QuickBooks Desktop.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
