Job Summary
Café Largesse is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Lead Barista to help guide our coffee program and inspire a team that shares a love for exceptional beverages and heartfelt hospitality. As the Lead Barista, you’ll set the tone behind the bar—crafting quality drinks with precision, upholding consistency in service, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily bar operations, ensuring consistency in drink preparation, cleanliness, and customer experience.
• Prepare and serve a variety of espresso, tea, and specialty beverages using handcrafted syrups and house recipes.
• Train and mentor new baristas during onboarding and ongoing staff development.
• Ensure all beverages meet quality and presentation standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and sharing product knowledge.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Support inventory management through tracking, restocking, and placing orders as needed.
• Operate the Toast POS system to process orders and transactions accurately.
• Collaborate closely with the Café Manager and kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service flow.
• Promote a positive team environment with clear communication and strong leadership during busy shifts.

Qualifications

• 1 year of specialty coffee or barista experience required; leadership experience preferred.
• Passion for coffee, tea, and customer service.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead with empathy and clarity.
• Comfortable using POS systems; familiarity with Toast is a plus.
• Excellent multitasking and time-management skills in a fast-paced setting.
• Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and quality standards.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
