Job Summary (List Format) Data Engineer #142074
- Serve as technical lead for analytical assignments enhancing, integrating, maintaining, and implementing various projects.
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to other developers on the team.
- Lead design and development of scalable, high-performance solutions utilizing AWS services.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Program efficiently in Python and/or Scala.
- Utilize AWS Cloud-based application development and related tools.
- Implement and manage Elasticsearch and Kibana for effective data retrieval and analysis.
- Work with Databricks for data engineering tasks.
- Design both logical and physical database models and develop database objects (e.g., stored procedures, functions).
- Work with Oracle databases extensively.
- Ensure data integrity, data warehousing, and employ data visualization tools.
- Gather requirements and write functional/technical specifications for complex projects.
- Develop software design documentation and collaborate with stakeholders for review/approval.
- Utilize source control tools such as GIT.
- Create flowcharts, screen layouts, and other documentation to ensure the logical flow of system requirements.
- Participate in and support large, agile project environments, including test-driven development.
- (Nice to have) Create CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Experience in Electronic Health Records (EHR) HL7 solutions is required.
- Support and enhance critical health information systems to prevent outages and ensure data accuracy.
- Must be able to work onsite 2 days a week in Lansing, MI; local candidates only.
