- Responsibilities:
- Building and optimizing a distributed computing platform for executing AI workloads
- Implementing systems for job scheduling, task distribution, state tracking, and fault-tolerant execution
- Applying distributed systems concepts such as partitioning, replication, consensus, and eventual consistency
- Designing solutions inspired by modern orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes
- Writing clean, efficient code in languages like Python, Go, or C
- Collaborating with other engineers to integrate distributed computing capabilities into larger AI pipelines
- Contributing to system monitoring and debugging tools
- Staying current with advancements in distributed systems, orchestration techniques, and AI model execution
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Strong experience in building distributed systems
- Experience with task scheduling, state management, and distributed coordination protocols
- Familiarity with the design principles behind container orchestration frameworks
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or C
- Experience working with networking concepts and designing communication between distributed components
- Familiarity with AI/ML workflows or large-scale data processing is a plus but not required
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience deploying distributed systems on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Knowledge of message queues or event-driven architectures for task distribution
- Familiarity with debugging distributed systems using logging/observability tools like Prometheus or Grafana
