Organizational Change Management (OCM) Communications Specialist
Job Summary
Client is seeking an OCM Communications Specialist to drive strategic communication efforts for large-scale organizational change initiatives. This role will focus on developing and executing change communication strategies that enhance stakeholder engagement, increase adoption of new processes and technologies, and ensure a smooth transition across the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in change management, internal communications, and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and deliver targeted communications.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communication & Planning
- Develop and execute engaging OCM communications to support enterprise-wide initiatives, including technology implementations, process changes, and organizational transformations.
- Partner with OCM, HR, IT, and business leaders to align messaging and ensure consistent communication across all levels of the organization.
- Identify key audiences and tailor messaging to address stakeholder concerns, business priorities, and change adoption goals.
- Manage and execute a robust communication plan, ensuring timely and effective messaging throughout the change lifecycle.
Content Development & Delivery
- Craft clear, engaging, and persuasive internal communications, including email campaigns, newsletters, FAQs, leadership talking points, and intranet content.
- Develop additional support materials, toolkits and engagement collateral to help employees understand and embrace change.
- Leverage various communication channels such as SharePoint, Yammer, Microsoft Teams, webinars, and live events to reach diverse audiences.
- Ensure messaging is aligned with Medline’s culture, brand voice, and business objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Readiness
- Act as a trusted advisor, working closely with leaders and project teams to drive employee engagement and change readiness.
- Conduct stakeholder assessments and feedback loops to gauge concerns, measure communication effectiveness impact, and adjust communication approaches as needed.
- Manage cross-functional Change Champions Network
- Plan and facilitate town halls, Q&A sessions, and leadership briefings to support change adoption.
- Create and implement employee feedback mechanisms to measure communication effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Establish KPIs and success metrics to assess the impact of OCM communication efforts.
- Track engagement, readiness and adoption trends using surveys, analytics, and employee feedback.
- Adjust strategies based on data insights to enhance communication effectiveness.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices in change management communications to drive innovation.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- 5 years of experience in corporate communications, change management, or organizational development with a focus on OCM-related initiatives.
- Proven ability to develop and execute communication strategies for enterprise-wide change initiatives.
- Strong experience with stakeholder engagement, messaging, and change adoption strategies.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Experience with internal communication tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Yammer, Microsoft Teams, email marketing tools).
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Preferred:
- Experience in the healthcare, manufacturing, or distribution industries is a plus.
- Familiarity with change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter) and communication best practices.
- Background in training content development or instructional design is a plus.
