What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Controls / Automation Engineer position at Largeton Group?
Position: Sr. Controls / Automation Engineer
Location: Cleveland, MS (Fully Onsite)
Responsibilities include designing/modifying precision assembly and manufacturing equipment, preparing project estimates, driving continuous improvement activities, interfacing with various groups, managing start-up of new processes, troubleshooting automated assembly systems, and generating technical documents
Adherence to FDA Design Control standards and maintaining department SOPs is mandatory
Qualifications required: Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Computer degrees preferred)
Minimum 2 years of experience with programming/troubleshooting in automation controls, automated assembly, control systems, PLCs, HMIs, servos, and vision inspection systems
Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs & HMIs is mandatory
Minimum 2 years of experience in Engineering/Manufacturing in an FDA manufacturing environment
Preferred experience includes Magnemotion conveyor system, ultrasonic welding, Staubli robots, Cognex and Keyence vision systems
Design software experience (like AutoCAD, Solidworks, etc.) is preferred
Lean Manufacturing skills and experience are a plus.
