What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Controls / Automation Engineer position at Largeton Group?
- Position: Sr. Controls / Automation Engineer
- Location: Cleveland, MS (Fully Onsite)
- Responsibilities include designing/modifying precision assembly and manufacturing equipment, preparing project estimates, driving continuous improvement activities, interfacing with various groups, managing start-up of new processes, troubleshooting automated assembly systems, and generating technical documents
- Adherence to FDA Design Control standards and maintaining department SOPs is mandatory
- Qualifications required: Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Computer degrees preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience with programming/troubleshooting in automation controls, automated assembly, control systems, PLCs, HMIs, servos, and vision inspection systems
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs & HMIs is mandatory
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Engineering/Manufacturing in an FDA manufacturing environment
- Preferred experience includes Magnemotion conveyor system, ultrasonic welding, Staubli robots, Cognex and Keyence vision systems
- Design software experience (like AutoCAD, Solidworks, etc.) is preferred
- Lean Manufacturing skills and experience are a plus.
