Job Summary – Sr. Oracle Database Developer (ADP, Parsippany, NJ)
- Hands-on, senior-level Oracle Database Developer supporting a Payroll Platform at ADP.
- Focused on high-performance database development (not infrastructure/DBA).
- Responsibilities include writing and optimizing Oracle SQL/PLSQL queries, improving system performance, and delivering scalable data solutions.
- Must have strong and recent (last 5 years) Oracle SQL/PLSQL experience; some prior MS SQL experience is helpful but not required.
- Experience with PostgreSQL is required.
- Deep knowledge of Oracle database features; Oracle VPD experience preferred.
- Scripting experience required (Python preferred, Shell scripting).
- Experience with Linux OS (RedHat).
- Familiarity with application deployment, automations, and DevOps tools (Artifactory, GIT, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Ansible).
- Understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Nice to have: Liquibase, Oracle Certification, Java and Hibernate development, experience with Oracle Cloud Control, Golden Gate, and Golden Gate BDA.
