Required Qualifications:
- The client is in the process of developing a data management / governance program.
- This engagement is centered around executing project-based work as part of the program rollout, which may include developing metrics, drafting policies, procedures and business requirements, facilitating working groups, conducting deep dives, mapping processes / data flows, etc.
- This engagement requires intermediate-level data management experience including in-depth knowledge in areas such as data architecture, design and structure.
- This resource should have sufficient subject matter expertise to assess data issues and identify a root cause.
- Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, Qlikview, SharePoint, JADE, etc. (nice to have)
- It is important that this individual can succinctly articulate (visually and verbally) complex data concepts to senior stakeholders.
- Strong Project Management Skill is required as the resource will own a workstream and work with different stakeholders.
- Looking for candidates/resources local to NYC who can be onsite 3 days a week in Jersey City.
Engagement Details:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs/challenges and translate into business requirements for strategic solutions
- Support the process for sourcing external data ensuring adherence to data onboarding requirements
- Perform data profiling, define data quality rules and validations, and conduct root cause analyses for identified data quality incidents and/or threshold breaches
- Enhance the problem management process to identify, review, remediate and escalate data quality incidents to impacted stakeholders
- Create dashboards and visualizations using business intelligence tools that are comprehensive and scalable to monitor data health
- Identify critical data elements and define requirements to be considered as part of operational prioritization and planning
- Define, implement, and maintain metadata and reference data standards and best practices to support data governance
- Enhance metadata management processes and repositories to ensure the accuracy and completeness of metadata documentation
- Partner with product and technology teams to develop conceptual and logical data models and document data flows
- Support strategic initiatives related to data warehousing and data lake implementation
