We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dedicated receptionist to join our team. The receptionist will be the first point of contact for our clients, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment. Our next team member will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for animal care.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome clients and their pets with a positive and friendly attitude.
- Answer and manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries.
- Maintain accurate client and patient records, both digital and paper-based.
- Process payments, invoices, and other financial transactions correctly.
- Assist with general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, and presentable at all times.
- Communicate effectively with the clinical team to coordinate patient care.
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Mandatory Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years experience in a veterinary clinic, animal hospital, or similar environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer software and office equipment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Compassion for animals and their owners.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.

Largo Veterinary Hospital is an AAHA accredited, certified drug free workplace. All candidates are required to pass a pre-hire urine drug screening prior to employment.
Largo Veterinary Hospital is open Monday through Wednesday, and Fridays from 7:30am to 5:30 pm, and Saturdays from 7:30am to noon. The ideal candidate has flexible availability.
