Larimar Therapeutics Inc. is a publicly held clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing treatments for patients suffering from complex rare diseases using its novel cell penetrating peptide technology platform. Our lead product candidate, Nomlabofusp (CTI-1601), is a subcutaneously administered, recombinant fusion protein intended to deliver human frataxin (FXN), an essential protein to the mitochondria of patients with Friedreich’s ataxia. Friedreich’s ataxia is a rare, progressive, and fatal disease in which patients are unable to produce sufficient FXN due to a genetic abnormality.
We have assembled an experienced management team, each of whom has over 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience. Our management team, employees, and consultants have significant expertise in discovery, nonclinical and clinical development, regulatory affairs, manufacturing and CMC.

Job Responsibilities:
Position Overview: As the Executive Director, Marketing Access and Patient Services, you will play a pivotal role in driving our commercial success. You’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of nomlabofusp US market access strategy design and execution, channel strategy/ distribution model, including establishing a class-leading patient services operation—all in support of a successful commercial launch.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy development and execution
- Develop payer value proposition, engagement plan and resources (with support of marketing), including large group practice/IDN strategy
- Recommend pricing and contracting strategy (in conjunction with finance) and Health Economics Outcomes Research plan
- Ensure access for target patient population by designing channel distribution strategy and supporting class-leading patient services operation, with input from HCPs and patient advocacy association
- Select specialty pharmacy (SP) partner(s) and oversee all aspects of SP operations to ensure level of service meets or exceeds expectations
- Lead Gov’t Pricing activities to ensure compliance with all federal/state regulations
- Recommend payor- and patient-focused go-to-market tactics with a focus on critical “Day 1” programs and resources to ensure rapid uptake of nomlabofusp upon approval
- Commission and oversee additional market research to inform market access/patient services plan
Commercial leadership/collaboration
- Serve as an integral member of the commercial leadership team
- Coordinate and collaborate with key commercial functions (marketing, sales, sales operations/analytics) and other non-commercial partners (medical affairs, regulatory, legal/compliance, manufacturing)
Market positioning and branding
- Create branding for Larimar’s patient services function, including suite of service offerings that will fall under the patient services umbrella
Financial Management
- Develop and manage the marketing access/patient services budget in close partnership with finance
- Adjust planned spend as needed to efficiently capitalize on market opportunity and to sustain brand growth
Compliance and governance
- Ensure adherence to commercial policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations
- Closely partner with compliance/legal from concept-to-execution for all programs
Team Leadership
- Efficiently build and lead high-performing market access and patient services teams
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
Experience:
- 15 years experience in roles of increasing market access responsibility within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
- 5 years experience establishing and leading a patient services function
- Must have rare disease and launch experience; rare disease launch experience (e.g. – within the same brand) is preferred
- Familiarity with drug development, clinical trials, and regulatory processes
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
