Overview

Are you an experienced mechanic? Fleet Services needs a hardworking Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team.

This is an excellent position for an experienced mechanic who enjoys working on a variety of fleet. In this role, you will be assigned repairs, inspections, and maintenance of light, medium, and / or heavy fleet vehicles and equipment.

Our team is relocating to a new shop in Loveland, CO! The typical schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM. A tool and boot allowance is available after six months.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing :

Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues.
Using a computerized work order system to track and complete tasks.
Inspecting heavy and light equipment in the field and shop to determine repair needs and performing field repairs when possible.
Conducting preventative maintenance services on all equipment.
Ensuring compliance with DOT standards and inspections.

What we're looking for :

Proven experience diagnosing and repairing diesel and gas engines, brake systems, transmissions, differentials, and front and rear axle assemblies.

Skilled in repairing and installing hydraulic pumps and controls, as well as diagnosing electrical issues.

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.

Proficiency in using computer equipment for diagnostics and repairs.

A team player with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Two (2) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities or certification in auto or diesel technology from an accredited program.

Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire required.

Possession of, and ability to maintain, a Class "B" CDL at the discretion of the Fleet Director, depending upon necessity and position, required
