Shipping/Receiving | Machine Shop

We have an immediate opening for shipping/receiving coordinator. This person works closely with our office team, management team and with our customers to deliver exceptional quality work. This is a unique opportunity for the interested candidate. The shipping/receiving role at Larkin Precision is a fast paced, multi task environment where everyday is different. This roles involves driving company vehicles, so a clean driving record is critical. No at fault accidents in 5 years, no traffic tickets allowed in the last 3 years. Permission to pull driving abstract will be required.

Candidate will need to attend forklift certification if not already obtained within the first 30 days of employment.

Our shop environment is safety sensitive and as such we maintain a drug free workplace, we do require pre-employment drug testing, including testing for marijuana.

Job Type: This is a 40 hour per week position
Day Shift: Monday thru Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively (spoken and written) to managers

Work on a team and collaborate with team members
Operate a forklift (Class IV)
Count incoming/outgoing parts
Pack parts for optimized shipping (ie. UPS, Freight, Flatbed)

Ability to lift 50 lbs

Ability to stand all day

Ability to multitask

Drive company vehicle to local customers and vendors to pickup and deliver product
All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Ability to listen and learn
Legible handwriting
Simple arithmetic and math skills
Excellent communication, ability to work well with others
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Strong attention to detail
Ability to stand for the duration of your shift
Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests (Drug Free Workplace)
Ability to lift 50 lbs

Education/Experience:
High School diploma or (GED); OR one to three months related experience or training

Pay: $20 hourly SUBTANTIAL QTRLY BONUS , DOE, 90 Day performance review and adjustment

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 46 per week
