What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Server position at Larkin's Catering & Events?
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up & breakdown of all events including but not limited to; moving and setting tables & chairs, service and buffet areas, polishing, and decor placement
- Serve & display all food with presentation standards and practices in mind, insuring safe food handling performance
- Taking orders for plated meals, filling buffet trays, and carrying trays to serve & clear
- Communicate with Chef and kitchen staff and expediting food from the kitchen as needed
- Setting beverage stations, taking orders and serving both alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages to guests at tables
- Clearing tables to the bone and resetting rooms for next event
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in hospitality and guest service within a fast paced environment
- Passion for food and exceptional execution of service
- Impeccable verbal communication and listening skills
- Banquet servers must be 16 years old
- Reliable transportation to all locations with 25 miles of flagship location
- Ability to stand and walk for extended distances and periods of time, bend and climb stairs when necessary
- Frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs
- US Citizen or Green Card holder
