Job Overview:
As Chef de Cuisine, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring top-tier food quality, managing kitchen staff, and maintaining cost controls. This is a leadership role that requires strong culinary expertise, team management skills, and a drive for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all culinary operations to ensure seamless kitchen execution.
- Develop and execute seasonal, innovative menus in collaboration with ownership.
- Maintain high food quality standards, presentation, and consistency across all dishes.
- Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
- Oversee inventory, ordering, and cost control to maintain profitability.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Work closely with the service team to ensure an outstanding guest experience.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, making adjustments as necessary to meet revenue goals.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in a high-volume, fine dining, or upscale casual kitchen.
- Previous leadership experience as a Chef de Cuisine, Executive Sous Chef, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, menu development, and cost control.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a diverse team.
- Passion for seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and innovative cuisine.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain).
- Must be able to work long hours while standing, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a hot and fast-paced environment.
- Position may require travel between locations; reliable transportation is preferred.
