Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to handle bookkeeping and administrative tasks for our construction business. This role requires a combination of financial expertise and strong administrative skills to support our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Process invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor payments.
- Prepare financial reports, bank reconciliations, and job cost tracking.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist with project budgeting and cost control.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date files, both digital and physical.
- Coordinate office activities, including scheduling, communication, and correspondence.
- Provide administrative support to project managers and field teams.
- Assist in preparing and submitting permits, contracts, and compliance documents.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative support, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Accounting software such as Sage300 or Sage Intact, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and Construction software such as Procore.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of construction industry practices, including job costing and lien waivers, is a plus.
