Plant Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

Job Summary/Hours

• This position is responsible for the on-going maintenance and troubleshooting of Bakery production equipment and mechanical systems. In this position dependability is critical to Bakery operations.
• Position is for 3rd shift – Hours are 11pm to 7am (Sunday to Wednesday; Thursday/Friday hours are negotiable).
  
  

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Hands on experience in a mechanical setting/position.
• Ability to understand and retain knowledge of mechanical systems.
• General understanding of electrical/plumbing/mechanical concepts.
• Knowledge and experience working with ammonia refrigeration system preferred.
• Ability to operate industrial equipment and computer driven controls.
• Multitasking abilities.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work within deadlines.
• Ability to work multiple shifts over a 21-hour production cycle up to seven days/week.
  
  

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Communicate with production team members to identify and troubleshoot potential maintenance issues.
• Complete maintenance tasks as assigned by management.
• Help maintain an organized and clean work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Work Environment And Physical Requirements

• Ability to twist, turn, pull, crouch down, climb and lift 75 pounds consistently.
• Able to operate machinery that assists in lifting/pushing/pulling of heavy equipment.
• While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is exposed to dusty and loud conditions.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
