LaRose Industries LLC, dba Cra-Z-Art, A Stationery, Activities, and Arts and crafts manufacturer located in Randolph, NJ, is seeking a qualified IT Specialist/Technician to join our IT Team.
Duties
The duties of an IT Specialist/Technician are to install, maintain, and update computer hardware and software. This role will provide daily support for our employees regarding application, hardware, and networking issues and assist with managing and maintaining networks and systems.
This person is expected to display good interpersonal skills as they will interact with colleagues from various departments and executive levels.
Responsibilities
· Take ownership of existing end-user devices and help desk duties
· Troubleshoot issues with printers, scanners, and passwords
· Respond to the daily queue of help desk support requests in a timely and efficient manner
· Perform on/off-boarding of employees, set up equipment, restore devices
· Deploy equipment for new employees
· Create, add, and modify accounts and services across our various platforms
· Hardware/software upgrades on desktops
· Provide basic end-user training on Office suite applications
· Manage hardware and software inventories
Requirements
· Self-starter who does not require micromanagement
· Experience in supporting, troubleshooting, and configuring IT devices
· Practical knowledge of Apple and PC hardware
· Knowledge of Windows-OS and its inner workings, MacOS knowledge a plus but not required
· Basic understanding of networking and command line
· Familiar with Anti-Virus and Anti-malware services
· Abilities to organize and prioritize projects and tickets
· Looking for someone who will identify and fix the root cause of an issue so it does not happen again
· Well-versed with the Office Suite, specifically Excel
· Willing to learn and is open to working on issues outside their realm of knowledge
· Associate degree in computer science or related field preferred
· 2-5 years of working experience with computer systems, hardware, and software
WORKING CONDITIONS
· Office environment
· Travel – Some travel required
· After-hours on-call rotation
· 42.5-hour workweek
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to lift 40 pounds
· Must have good hand-eye coordination/dexterity
· Good communication skills both written and verbal
