Position Description

Larrett Energy Services Inc. is now searching for a Field Safety Coordinator to support our efforts in for an ongoing project. The position is a salary position and comes with truck/vehicle pay, fuel card, and per diem. Workdays are between 5 to 6 days a week and potentially working on Sundays.

Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed but not limited to the following:

  • Manage regional health, safety and environmental program to ensure that employees comply with applicable regulations, policies, procedures, plans, etc.
  • Regular travel to jobsites for daily safety meetings, assessments, inspections, and implementation of corrective actions accordingly.
  • Manage incident reporting and follow up activities by preparing incident notifications and participating in incident investigation; ensure that incident investigations are completed by applicable deadlines.
  • Identify incident or industry trends and improvements to existing EHS Programs
  • Review, revise, update and/or write technical documents, as needed, related to the EHS Manual, procedures, plans, training materials, EHS Newsletters and other similar documents.
  • Conduct job-site safety audits to determine compliance and identify improvements to existing EHS programs
  • Coordinate and execute EHS related training. Ensure employees are compliant with training requirements; assist in implementation and management of Larrett Energy Services Inc. training and qualification platforms.
  • Maintain proper updates associated with Process Safety Management, Operator Qualification, Vehicle GPS Positioning Applications, etc.
  • Assist with OQ training, DOT (PHMSA & FMCSA) Compliance, Security Plan, and Emergency Response activities
  • Assist in implementing the safety management system for tracking incidents, safety observations, compliance and reporting
  • Inspect equipment, field operations, and equipment maintenance processes for compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
  • Review site-specific recordkeeping; ensure that all safety-related action items are completed in a timely manner
  • Coordinate regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Assist with claims, complaints, and personnel issues as needed
  • Interact with all levels of employees and management within the company; local, state, and federal regulatory agencies; and consultants with self-confidence, poise, and professionalism
  • Maintain and adhere to required training, policies, and procedures.
  • Actively participate in safety programs and initiatives.
  • Comply with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license in state of residency.
  • Must carry current insurance of the vehicle being used for truck/vehicle pay
  • Work assigned schedule and be available for overtime if needed.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required and other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all internal, state and federal regulations.
  • Comply with company policies.
  • Conduct specimen collections for drug and alcohol collections.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of:

  • Proficiency with computers including MS Office applications such as Excel and Outlook as well as other computer-based work training, Adobe, Google Earth time reporting, expense reporting, and on-line work applications and documentation.
  • Working knowledge OSHA, EPA and DOT (PHMSA & FMCSA) Regulations
  • Strong analytical, organizational and documentation skills required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal required

Ability to:

  • Demonstrated self- starter with the ability to work independently and exercise good judgement.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment, shift rotations, and perform call outs.
  • React to high stress/emergency situations in a deliberate, thoughtful, and timely manner.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, meet deadlines, and function effectively in a fast paced and growth-oriented environment.

EXPERIENCE and TRAINING GUIDELINES

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain knowledge and abilities would be:

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in environmental science, OSHA or related field or extensive equivalent experience.
  • BCSP - CHST and/or OSHT Certification
  • CSHO and/or SSH Certification
  • NCCER Safety Certifications (CSST, CSSS)
  • Minimum (2) years of experience with the applicable health and safety programs, environmental experience a plus
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably within the midstream sector

All applicants must pass a background check and DOT pre-employment drug screen and will be randomly drug tested annually.

Estimated Annual Income: $88,400 to $104,000 – Plus Per diem
