What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Leader / Window Cleaner position at Larry's Window Cleaning?
Tired of being stuck in an office with no scenery changes? This job is for you!
- Ladder work experience a plus. You will be walking, carrying, climbing ladders up to 36 feet also walking on roofs.
- Clean residential windows and gutters using our process. Follow all safety standards.
Additional responsibilities of a Truck Leader:
- Safety First: As a truck leader, your primary concern is safety. You’re like the guardian angel of shammys. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Ladder Safety Check: Before anyone ascends to window-cleaning heights, you’ll inspect those ladders like a hawk. Rungs intact? Feet stable? No wobbles? Check, check, and check!
- Associates’ Safety: You’re responsible for the well-being of your crew. Seatbelts fastened? Tools secured? Everyone hydrated? You’re the safety whisperer.
- Driving Safety: When you hit the road, it’s not just about getting from Point A to Point B. It’s about smooth turns, cautious braking, and avoiding potholes (because potholes and shammys don’t mix).
Estimates and Invoicing:
- You’re the numbers guru. When a potential client wants their windows to sparkle, you’ll swing by with your clipboard and measuring tape. Here’s how it goes:
- Estimates: You’ll assess the job—counting windows, measuring square footage, and factoring in any special requests (like “Can you also clean the skylight?”). Then, you’ll provide a fair estimate. No smoke and mirrors—just crystal-clear pricing.
- Invoicing: Once the job is done, you’ll whip out your invoice wand. Itemize the services rendered, add a touch of professionalism, and voilà! The client gets a bill that’s as transparent as their freshly cleaned glass.
Leadership and Coordination:
- You’re the captain of the window-washing ship. Here’s how you steer:
- Assigning Tasks: You’ll delegate responsibilities to your crew. “Bob, you’re on the east side; Susan, tackle the bay windows.” Like a choreographer, you’ll ensure everyone dances (or scrubs) in harmony.
- Time Management: You’ll plan routes efficiently. No zigzagging across town—unless it’s a dance move. You’ll keep the crew on schedule, because time is money (and clean windows).
Customer Interaction:
- You’re the face of Larry’s Window Cleaning. When you arrive at a client’s home or office, it’s showtime:
- Professionalism: You’ll greet the customer with a smile and a firm handshake (or elbow bump, depending on the times). “Hi, I’m Frank from Larry’s Window Cleaning. Ready to let the sunshine in?”
- Quality Assurance: After the crew works their magic, you’ll inspect the results. If the windows gleam like diamonds, you’ll give the thumbs-up. If not, back to the shammy drawing board!
Remember, being a truck leader isn’t just about driving—it’s about steering a team toward sparkling success.
