Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting a safe work environment by implementing safety protocols, conducting training sessions, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of OSHA standards, workers' compensation laws, and environmental health and safety (EHS) practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs in accordance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Facilitate training sessions for employees on occupational health, safety procedures, and emergency response protocols.
- Investigate workplace incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Prepare detailed reports on safety performance metrics, incidents, and compliance status for management review.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to environmental regulations set by the EPA.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and liaise with insurance providers as necessary.
- Stay updated on changes in safety regulations, industry best practices, and emerging trends in occupational health.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in a safety role within an industrial or manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, workers' compensation law, and EHS regulations.
- Proficiency in report writing with excellent communication skills to convey safety information effectively.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis for incidents and develop actionable recommendations.
- Certification in CPR is a plus; additional certifications related to safety management are advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
