The Big Tasks: You will build and lead an ideal install department with the best in the business working with you, maximizing capacity, efficiency and profitability.
Key Sub Tasks
- Oversee and manage the HVAC installation department, ensuring all installations are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with company quality standards.
- Supervise, train, and develop a team of HVAC installation technicians to ensure high performance, technical expertise, and customer service excellence.
- Coordinate with sales, customer service, and operations teams to ensure smooth communication and job scheduling.
- Conduct pre-installation site visits as needed to assess job requirements and plan efficient installations.
- Review and approve installation projects, including materials, equipment, and manpower allocation.
- Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and local building codes.
- Monitor performance metrics, track progress, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
- Develop and implement processes to improve installation efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer escalations related to installation projects and ensure timely resolution.
- Manage inventory and equipment to ensure availability of materials and tools needed for projects.
- Foster a positive team culture that aligns with the company’s core values, including a positive mindset, accountability, and follow-through.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC installation, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation procedures, safety standards, and local building codes.
- Proven ability to manage, lead, and develop a team of technicians.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and build strong customer relationships.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office and job scheduling software.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HVAC Certification (NATE or ELA Master Heat Pump).
- Experience with CRM and job management software (e.g., ServiceTitan).
- Experience working with Trane, Mitsubishi, and Bosch
Working Conditions: This is a full-time, in-person position at our Scottsdale facility. The HVAC Installation Manager will spend time both in the office and on job sites. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on project needs.
