Pacific Retirement Services is seeking a proactive and compassionate Housing Manager to join our team at Larson Creek Retirement Community, a 40-unit HUD-subsidized low-income senior community in Medford, OR. At Pacific Retirement Services, we empower people to lead meaningful lives as they age. In this role, you will be the front-line office staff for the community, you will ensure compliance with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and Community Housing guidelines while fostering positive relations with residents and guests.
How You’ll Do It:
Your responsibilities include managing applicant and resident relations, coordinating maintenance and office operations, preparing invoices, and facilitating community events like "Coffee Connection" meetings with residents and staff. You will handle occupancy duties such as processing interim and annual recertifications, maintain confidential resident files, collect rent, and manage maintenance inventory. Additionally, you’ll respond to emergencies, ensure the building is maintained in accordance with safety standards, and uphold a welcoming and professional environment for residents. Perform additional duties as assigned.
About You:
- Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) certification, trained and certified within 15 months of hire, or actively pursuing the certification. If you are not COS certified within 15 months, PRS and the communities reserve the right to end employment unless the quality of work displayed justifies continued education and training toward the certification.
- Knowledge of HUD regulations 4350.3, state tenant/landlord law and Community Housing policies and procedures.
- Knowledge and experience in office management, property management, or other related management field. You may gain this experience through technical training or a minimum of 3 years in the field.
- Computer/word processing skills.
- Significant skills and knowledge of the maintenance and repair field. Skills in the operation, repair and maintenance of equipment and tools.
- Strong organizational and human relations skills.
- Ability to read, speak, write and follow oral and written directions.
Full-Time Schedule: Adjusted work schedule available for 40 hours; 7 AM to 6 PM
Compensation: $24.00 - $24.50 per hour, depending on experience.
