The Finance/Operations Director - Law Firm will be responsible for:
- Expertise in law firm billing, accounting practices, and financial management.
- A proactive leadership approach with robust change management skills.
- Create and execute the firm's annual budget, maintaining financial accountability.
- Work closely with the bookkeeper and external accountants to prepare taxes.
- Oversee the 401(k) plan, consistently improving employee benefits.
- Collaborate with the HR Manager to enhance human resources operations, covering recruitment, payroll, and benefits administration.
- Supervise and improve the firm's benefits package, encompassing welfare and retirement plans.
- In collaboration with an external IT vendor, manage the firm's IT operations to ensure efficient and secure technology utilization.
- Oversee maintenance contracts for all computer hardware and software, ensuring consistent reliability.
The Finance/Operations Director should have the following qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience in a law firm administration or office management position.
- Proficiency in managing law firm billing, accounting procedures, and financial oversight.
- A proactive leadership approach with robust change management skills.
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management is required, with a preference for candidates holding a CPA or MBA.
- Preferred experience with PerfectLaw software.
