A reputable client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Services Attorney to join their dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will be mid-level and above, with a strong background in providing comprehensive legal services to clients in the debt finance sector. The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, and will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role will sit in Charlotte or Raleigh.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent lenders and borrowers in leveraged finance transactions.
- Draft and negotiate credit agreements, intercreditor agreements, security agreements, and other primary loan documents.
- Manage transaction closings efficiently.
- Supervise and mentor junior associates and paralegals.
- Provide expertise in mezzanine finance or other private credit funds (preferred).
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the North Carolina state bar and in good standing or ability to waive in within 45 days.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in debt finance.
- Experience with mezzanine finance or other private credit funds.
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- In-depth understanding of acquisition financing.
