Theyre looking to hire their first In-House Counsel to provide comprehensive legal guidance across a wide range of business and regulatory matters. This is an exciting opportunity to shape this company's legal function while working on cutting-edge healthcare and technology issues.
Note : this is a hybrid opportunity (2-4 days on-site per week). Open to candidates in San Antonio, Austin, or those willing to relocate.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel on general business matters, including corporate governance, commercial agreements, and strategic initiatives.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, including vendor, customer, and partnership agreements.
- Advise on healthcare regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to applicable federal and state laws, including HIPAA and other healthcare-related regulations.
- Support HR and employment matters, including policies, employee relations, and compliance with labor laws.
- Assist with customer audit responses and risk mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with business development teams to evaluate legal risks and structure deals effectively.
- Manage relationships with outside counsel.
