This role involves providing legal advice and counsel for company-wide EHS issues, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, advocating for environmental protection, and representing clients in legal proceedings related to environmental matters.Key Responsibilities : Legal Research and Analysis : Conduct thorough research on environmental laws, regulations, and case law to provide accurate legal advice.Compliance : Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Superfund / CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, FIFRA, and other relevant legislation.Litigation : Represent clients in environmental litigation, including administrative hearings, trials, and appeals.Permitting and Licensing : Assist clients in obtaining necessary environmental permits and licenses for various projects.Policy Advocacy : Advocate for environmental policies and regulations that promote sustainability and environmental protection.Client Representation : Represent clients in negotiations with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders.Experience : 5 years of either big law or in-house experience in Environmental law.Industry Experience : Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.Education : JD from accredited law school.Skills : Experience in both Advice / Counsel & Litigation.Seniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type Full-timeJob function LegalIndustries Manufacturing and Oil and Gas#J-18808-Ljbffr
