A leading Global Trading Firm is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their NYC office. This prominent quantitative research firm uses advanced technology to provide trading strategy across financial markets. The Legal Counsel will work directly with senior legal members and business teams across the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate a wide range of contracts with respect to software licensing, vendor management, renewals and trading agreements.
- Stay informed of legal developments related to the technology and financial services industries and provide necessary trainings to relevant colleagues.
- Advise cross-functional business teams on contract negotiations, including advising on various contractual risks and providing alternatives.
Required Skills:
- J.D., Bar membership and 2 years of private practice experience at a nationally recognized law firm.
- Experience drafting and negotiating standard commercial and/or technology-related contracts.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with executive presence and work collaboratively in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple demands and projects simultaneously.
