What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Counsel (2nd Legal Hire) - VC AI/Tech Company position at Larson Maddox?
This role is on-site in the San Francisco Bay Area. Only Local or Relocation candidates will be considered.
Larson Maddox is partnered on a Senior Corporate Counsel search with an early to mid stage AI tech company based in the heart of Silicon Valley. This is the 2nd legal hire and will work closely with the Head of Legal to build the legal function.
As is typical with 2nd legal hires in tech, the position will have a heavy emphasis on scaling the Commercial legal function, however this role will more broadly support across sales, product, privacy, and general corporate / compliance matters.
Responsibilities Include :
- Taking ownership of the Commercial Legal function, leading the drafting and negotiating of all vendor facing contracts
- Work alongside product and engineering teams to ensure GTM compliance
- Support privacy and compliance related legal issues across the business
