Job Description
The Senior Distribution Manager will play a critical role in executing strategic distribution initiatives that support the transformation of Larson’s distribution network into a balanced, cost-effective, and high-performing operation. This position will provide operational leadership for the Albert Lea, MN, and Mocksville, NC distribution centers, ensuring consistent execution and high service levels. The role will lead complex, cross-functional, and enterprise-wide initiatives focused on driving efficiency in both distribution and inventory management. As a hands-on leader, the Senior Distribution Manager will leverage end-to-end supply chain expertise, advanced analytics, and best practices in change and transition management to achieve business objectives. A strong emphasis will be placed on enhancing customer service and the overall customer experience.
Responsibilities
Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $107,000USD - $165,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.

Job Description
The Senior Distribution Manager will play a critical role in executing strategic distribution initiatives that support the transformation of Larson’s distribution network into a balanced, cost-effective, and high-performing operation. Responsibilities
- Lead operational excellence at 2 distribution sites for Larson to meet customer expectations around backlog, on time and in full deliveries.
- Lead multiple distribution teams through servant leadership to ensure all team members, hourly and salaried, feel valued in their jobs.
- Build daily performance plans for each department based on the volume for the day.
- Create and maintain a PAR activity calendar for the year based on feedback from the multiple teams within each facility.
- Conduct daily stand-up meetings with both shifts to ensure all communication is clear and free flowing.
- Conduct daily meetings with the leadership team for cross functional communication to ensure all of leadership is on the same page for communicating information to direct reports.
- Discuss daily KPI metrics while having “seek to understand” conversations around metric misses and gains. Ensure the leaders and teams understand how to achieve the metrics set for the building.
- Report out weekly scorecard metrics to senior leaders and peers.
- Report out service metrics to senior leaders and peers.
- Partner with the demand planning team and manufacturing teams to ensure timely delivery of products to the DC’s that are needed to ship out based on a weekly delivery cycle to multiple customers.
- Work closely with the Supply Chain team on SKU rationalization that will enable efficiency in normal operations and/or project execution.
- Identify areas for improvement, determine metrics, and develop processes for ensuring successful transitions for projects.
- Assist in the development and presentation of strategic and tactical capacity plans to senior leadership.
- Identify areas of improvement in operational efficiency that leverage knowledge of the end-to-end supply chain.
- Influence and work collaboratively across the supply chain, related businesses, suppliers, and customers to drive ideation, options, and solutions.
- Drive the change management process by assessing situations, understanding impacts, developing recommendations, and driving actions.
- Ability to drive and lead a progressive safety culture.
- Maintain and build a healthy relationship with the HR business partner.
- Develop leaders by providing opportunity and growth to create development and continuous improvement.
- Challenge current and/or traditional ways for measuring performance and create new approaches/solutions that will improve business outcomes.
- Implement and maintain safety standards through the critical fifteen scoring standards.
- Maintain and report out all OPUS incidents while maintaining learning teams for proactive measures to mitigate future incidents.
- Drive and maintain service in accordance with FBIN standards.
- Foster a positive and productive culture with open communication, trust, and collaboration.
- Manage daily, monthly, and annual financial goals based on budgetary numbers.
- Drive lean principles and standards within all facilities.
- Develop and cultivate strong leaders with a forward-thinking mindset.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant supply chain/manufacturing experience in roles of increasing responsibility inclusive of a minimum of 5 years of experience leading large scale, highly complex cross-functional strategic initiatives following a formal project management methodology (including tools and techniques) and/or Six Sigma DMAIC discipline is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Engineering, or related discipline is required.
- Experience in supply chain end-to-end processes including demand planning, supply planning, scheduling, capacity management, and/or logistics is required. A minimum of 3 years in a lead role is preferred.
- Experience operating in an ERP environment.
- Supply Chain and Six Sigma expertise gained through training, certification, and/or industry associations is preferred (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, PMP).
- Skillful in building valued partnerships with stakeholders, communicating and influencing effectively across all levels of an organization, leading change, collaborating, and working cross-functionally, facilitating workshops, applying emotional intelligence, and employing analytics.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
