Financial Analyst - Manufacturing

Our Larson Manufacturing plant is seeking a Financial Analyst to partner with and advise the operations team on costing, Larson cross plant & operations financial analysis, and inventory.

Position location: Brookings, SD - Hybrid

RESPONSIBLIITIES:

What you will be doing

• Reporting and analysis of financial data for manufacturing expenses and key performance indicators
• Assist in the development of annual plant budgets and monthly forecasts
• Evaluate and communicate periodic actual plant results compared to budgets, forecasts and prior periods focused primarily on variance reporting, and productivity metrics
• Support standard cost development including plant cost structure
• Participate in the monthly and Y/E financial closing process by reviewing and analyzing key plant activity, costs & performance vs. forecast/operating plan
• Assist inventory team on processes and impacts on the financials
• Assist plant leadership in reconciling daily production metrics including scrap and labor efficiencies
• Coordinate with the Plant Controllers and accounting team in Larson to ensure proper financial reporting, SOX controls and audit support within the manufacturing site
• Assist in projects pertaining to plants continuous improvement
• Perform ad hoc assigned tasks, including special projects, analysis, and communication as needed to support operations
• Partner with FBIN sourcing finance leader on price variance analysis in Larson brand, providing key insights to finance lead

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field required
• 2-5 years of experience in business, finance, accounting, or related field required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time management skills
• Continuously seeks opportunities to enhance knowledge and processes

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $50,000 - $70,000. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
