JOB TITLE: Business Education Teacher
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
WORK YEAR: 2025-2026
SALARY: $ $33,000 to $47,804

General Job Description: Business Education Teacher The instructor is responsible for the safety and welfare of the students and for leadership of the Business and FBLA organization at Las Animas JR/SR High. The instructor will prepare and conduct lessons related to Business Content Standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities: NO
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- *A demonstrated philosophy that all students can and will
learn
- Excellent attendance record
- Excellent communication skills oral and written
- Positive interpersonal skills
- Teach assigned JH & HS Business Ed courses
- Instruct classroom and laboratory classes according to State
Content Standards.
- Design and implement real world applications for Business
Education students.
- Planning for and guiding the learning process to help
students achieve program objectives
- Recruit students into the Business Education courses and the
FBLA Chapter.
- Ensure that a safe learning environment exists for all
students.
- Coordinate educational events and activities with academic
teachers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Directly Responsible To: JR/SR Principal
Qualifications: Education: Minimum of Bachelor's degree in
education or Business from an accredited college or university
- A valid CO Teaching Certificate or the ability to obtain one,
including CTE endorsement is preferred
Work Year/Work Schedule
- * 2025-26 school year
- 165 day teaching contract
- 4 day week school
- plus summer supervision
Start Date: Aug 1, 2025
