This is for a Skilled Nursing Facility. Must have current Food Handler Certificate
The Dietary Aide must have experience in dietary in a skilled nursing facility or similar.
The dietary Aide works along with the dietary manager to prepare meals. The aide also assists in cleaning up, kitchen maintenance, and setting up and breaking down the dining areas. Other job duties include delivering food to residents’ rooms, preparing and serving snacks, and taking inventory of food and kitchen supplies.
Job Responsibilities of the Dietary Aide:
- The Dietary Aide Prepares meals and beverages using specific procedures
- The Dietary Aide Serves meals using standards to maintain sanitation and quality
- The Dietary Aide Stores stock appropriately in order to maintain cleanliness and prevent food spoilage
- The Dietary Aide Accurately records meals served and monitors the temperatures of food
- The Dietary Aide Cleans assigned dining areas using appropriate procedures
- The Dietary Aide Washes dishes and/or utensils according to acceptable standards of practice
- The Dietary Aide Ensures compliance with sanitation
- The Dietary Aide Participates in menu planning
