The Senior Living Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving sales and occupancy in the senior living community by promoting the facility’s offerings, building relationships with prospective residents and their families, and effectively managing the sales process from inquiry through move-in. The Sales Specialist must have a deep understanding of the senior living industry, the ability to communicate the benefits of the community, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in the senior living or healthcare industry.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Ability to build rapport with diverse groups, including seniors and their families. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of the senior living market and related healthcare options, including assisted living, memory care, and independent living.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in senior care.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Sales and Business Development : Lead efforts to increase occupancy by cultivating and maintaining relationships with prospective residents, families, healthcare professionals, and community partners. Execute outreach initiatives and sales strategies to identify leads and convert them into residents.
- Prospective Resident Relations : Engage with potential residents and families to understand their needs, preferences, and lifestyle requirements. Provide facility tours, answer questions, and offer solutions that align with the resident’s needs.
- Lead Management : Develop and manage a pipeline of leads through various channels (phone, email, direct mail, referrals, and walk-ins). Follow up with prospects in a timely manner to nurture relationships and close sales.
- Market Research : Analyze the competitive landscape and local market trends to develop effective sales strategies and tactics. Monitor competitors’ pricing, promotions, and occupancy rates to ensure the community’s offerings remain competitive.
- Occupancy Goals : Meet or exceed sales and occupancy goals, including individual and team targets for resident moveins and lead conversion.
- Time Management : Manage work schedule effectively, ensuring sufficient time is allocated to lead follow-up, meetings, tours, and other sales activities.
- Compliance : Ensure all sales processes and documentation adhere to regulatory guidelines, company policies, and industry standards.
