Las Palmas Medical Center is a 300 bed full-service hospital in El Paso. It offers a range of services including emergency care with a Level III trauma center, cardiac care, women's services, pediatric care and NICU, cancer care, and more.
As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Medical Surgical unit, you will provide direct nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans for telemetry patients. The role involves monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge and application of the nursing process for Telemetry patients
- Monitors and recognizes changes in the patient's behavioral, neurological and physiological status and takes appropriate action
- Administers and monitors the effects of medications, treatments and procedures performed on the patient
Required Qualifications and Experience
- RN licensed in State of Texas/Compact
- BCLS certified
- Current ACLS
