Job Summary And Qualifications
As a Pharmacist Intern, you may perform any duty of a pharmacist provided you are under the direct supervision of a pharmacist licensed by the board and approved as a preceptor by the board.

Job Summary And Qualifications
As a Pharmacist Intern, you may perform any duty of a pharmacist provided you are under the direct supervision of a pharmacist licensed by the board and approved as a preceptor by the board.
As a Pharmacist-intern, you may not:
- Present or identify himself/herself as a pharmacist
- Sign or initial any document which is required to be signed or initialed by a pharmacist unless a preceptor cosigns the document.
- Supervise supportive personnel
- You will review and interpret physician medication orders ensuring appropriate therapy
- You will ensure that the compounding and dispensing of all medications is accurate and timely
- You will actively participate in the pharmaceutical care of the patient to promote a positive outcome You will perform pharmacy technician duties when not under the direct supervision of a pharmacist preceptor
- Completion of all required College of Pharmacy credits prior to challenging national pharmacy board exams. The student must pass the national board exams within 1 year of graduation.
- Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) Pharmacy Intern License with 90 days of onboarding
