Bring your passion for riding and teach the next generation of Harley-Davidson riders by becoming a Harley-Davidson® Riding Academy Coach.
General Description :
Provide motorcycle safety training for participants.
Position Highlights :
Follow specifically designed training format
Train participants on risk awareness and acceptance while driving a motorcycle.
Teach participants about motorcycle controls, riding gear and basic riding skills.
Give opportunity to participants to ride a motorcycle using different skills, i.e. riding on straight line, weaving, large circles, sharp turns, swerving, etc.
Teach people street strategies, etc.
Administer motorcycle safety tests to all participants and handle graduation ceremony.
Provide excellent customer service
Greet customers immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner.
All Riding Academy Coaches must have the ability to :
Follow directions
Ask questions when in doubt.
Treat all employees and customers fairly, courteously, and with respect.
Be prompt and available for flexible scheduling.
Be honest and fair in all business dealings.
Qualifications and Job Requirements :
Must be available to work flexible, non-consistent hours.
Must be organized
This position requires the ability to take direction, follow directions and give effective directions
Must be dedicated to the training and follow through to completion of projects.
Effective time management skills are crucial in this position.
Must maintain a professional appearance
Must possess a driver license with a motorcycle endorsement and a good driving record.
Must be certified as a Motorcycle Safety Coach / Trainer by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and other information accurately.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions :
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Require the use of both hands.
Indoor & outdoor working environment
Must be able to work in and outdoors, in varying extreme weather conditions, both hot and cold, in all elements
Require the ability to push and balance 600 to 900 lb. motorcycles.
Occasionally required to bend, stoop, crouch, and reach.
Occasionally requires the ability to lift 40 lb. of material.
Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
Is potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning
materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle service department.
Occasionally, exposed to exhaust fumes, dust, vibration, or other airborne particles.
