What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Records/Lien Auth Clerk position at Las Vegas Radiology?
We are activly recruiting for a Medical Records/Lien Auth Clerk. The key job duties for this role are listed below:
- Responsible for responding to attorneys and other requesting parties regarding patient medical records and approval for radiology procedures. The medical records/lien auth clerk will also maintain the integrity of patients' medical records
- Prepare and send out billing records and medical records to attorneys and medical record companies
- Respond to attorneys’ requests for balance verification and reductions
- Answering and responding to phone calls related to medical records/lien approval from requesting parties; i.e. attorneys
- Printing all medical records for requesting attorney/facility; including, but not limited to: reports, lien paperwork, referral, and ID card
- Printing HCFA, ledger, or billing statements for patient records
- Checking voicemails/emails throughout the day and responding to requests or inquiries contained therein
- Releasing CDs/Reports to requesting companies that come to the facility
- Responsible for invoicing records on spreadsheet before and after payment
- Adding all necessary notes to patients' charts
- Other duties as assigned
