Lasa Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing the financial records of our organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This is a key role that requires strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
```Responsibilities```
- Perform corporate accounting duties, including managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process payroll and ensure accurate and timely payment to employees
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or errors
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper recording of financial transactions - Work jointly with division leaders to gather financial data and support decision-making processes - Work jointly with CPA for document preparation and end of year financials - Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures - Stay update to date on changes in accounting regulations and best practices
- Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and answering inquiries
```Experience```
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role
- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using QuickBooks Pro Contractor Edition
- Excellent understanding of financial concepts and ability to analyze financial data
- Solid understanding of payroll processes and regulations
- Ability to perform account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment - Certification/degree is a plus, but not required - Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
