Job Description:
This position oversees the inmate/detainee worker program, ensuring they are assigned tasks in an organized and timely manner. The successful candidate will be responsible for training and orienting inmates/detainees on their duties, including proper sanitation and hand washing procedures.
The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment. They will also be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software and have experience in correctional, commercial, or institutional food preparation service management or 18 months of correctional custody or law enforcement experience.
Physical requirements include continuous sitting and long periods of walking and standing per shift, frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, and exposure to humidity, heat, and/or freezing conditions for up to 4 hours or more per shift.
