Job Summary

Pay: $21.45 per hour

Responsibilities
- Provide custody safety and security of offenders/detainees.
- Transfer offenders/detainees from one agency to another.
- Read, review, and apply information found in inmate records related to their health, safety, and facility security.
- Provide relevant information to other personnel.
- Obedy all applicable traffic laws, drive at posted speed limits, and wear safety belts.
- Drive facility vehicles safely and defensively according to policy and procedures.
- Clean transport vehicles thoroughly after each transfer, including sinks, toilets, lavatories, and maintain a log.
- Promote positive social skills by modeling appropriate behavior and intervening when inappropriate behavior is observed.
- Maintain accountability of staff, inmates, and property; adhere to safety practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned within capabilities determined by management.
- Comply with Federal, State, FMCSA Regulations, and DOT Regulations.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 23 years old.
- Valid driver's license with a clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for three years.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement (preferred).
- Required to maintain specific State and Federal licenses due to contractual agreements.

- Ability to withstand direct or indirect exposure to OC spray.
