Accounting Manager

LaSalle Network has partnered with an established, Chicago-based financial services and investment management company that is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team. As the Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the company's financial reporting and internal controls.

This role is back in the office 3x a week in the Loop and is budgeted up to a base of $135,000 with additional target bonus eligibility.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger management
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Liaise with external auditors and provide support for the annual audit
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems
• Manage and mentor a team of 2-3 accounting staff
• Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and analysis

Accounting Manager Requirements:

• 4 years of experience in public accounting or in a similar accounting manager role, preferably within the financial services and or investment industry
• CPA certification
• Proficient in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Thorough knowledge of accounting software, such as Microsoft Dynamics or NetSuite
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
