Applications Director

LaSalle Network has partnered with a company in need of an Applications Director. This is a contract-to-hire role in Morton Grove, Illinois that operates on a hybrid schedule.
The Applications Director is responsible for development and maintenance of the Mas90 software and hardware. This includes maintenance of the AIX software and ancillary functions such as Firebrand and BBx.

Applications Director Responsibilities:

• Maintain Mas90 user accounts for PIL employees and JRS warehouse workers


• Adjust user's menu security access as needed


• Support users on all of the various Mas90 software modules and custom applications


• Train any new users on various functions as requested


• Perform Mas90 Day end processing each night (rotate weeks with other IT staff members)


• Perform Mas90 Month end processing


• Perform Mas90 Fiscal Year end processing


• Run the salesperson month end sales reports


• Run the month end sales reports for executives


• Create new reports or modify existing reports as requested by users


• Make software modifications as requested by users


• Maintain data file integrity and run daily file integrity checks


• As needed, fix records in data files, do data file purges, rebuild application sort files, etc.


• Assist Accounting with calendar year end A/P 1099 processing. This includes printing of laser forms and downloading of 1099 files to transmit to the IRS website


• Assist with processing of the annual Physical inventory


• Assist Accounting with uploading of the Annual sales forecast budget into Mas90. They provide an Excel file with the budget, which is downloaded it to an ASCII file, then uploaded it to the Mas90 forecast files. This happens once per year in the May/June timeframe


• Perform General Ledger fiscal year end processing for Accounting


• Monitor and maintain the Mas90 to PILOT system nightly file dump

• Add/Change/Delete AIX user accounts for PIL employees and JRS warehouse workers


• Configure new AIX printers as needed for use with Mas90


• Monitor file space on the system and delete old log files as needed. ( /var/adm/wtmp file is one)


• Monitor AIX print queues and delete old print jobs that are no longer needed


• Monitor backupsSwap out external USB backup drive every 7 days (3 drives are rotated for this)


• Assist with dumping the Firebrand data to Mas90 and generating an Items with missing data report for Erica. (this happens about once per month or once every other month)


• Assist Accounting as needed with processing the weekly Readerlink EDI 180 Return authorization file imports


• Assist as needed with monitoring the Unitrends backup systems

Applications Director Requirements:

• Perform in office Wednesday and Friday I/T support as scheduled


• Process the invoice for Basis BBx annual software maintenance and update the AIX server with new license information. (this will be up for renewal again in March of this year)


• Make trips to the warehouse in Wisconsin as needed to assist with various projects
